— Eighty-seven and a half hours
Open 9 to 9, every day of the week.
Eighty-seven and a half hours a week across seven days: unlocked at 9 in the morning, still open at 9 at night, Sunday included. That's the operating schedule, not a slogan, and it's what makes turning up unannounced realistic.
A twelve-hour day has gaps scattered through it — a room between two bookings, a therapist whose four o'clock moved. Gaps are what a walk-in is relying on.
The whole week, with what the front desk would tell you if you rang up and asked:
| Day | Opens | Closes | What the desk would tell you |
|---|---|---|---|
| Monday | 9:00 AM | 9:00 PM | Mornings wide open, steady after 5 PM |
| Tuesday | 9:00 AM | 9:00 PM | Usually the quietest day of the week |
| Wednesday | 9:00 AM | 9:00 PM | Mornings and mid-afternoon are easy |
| Thursday | 9:00 AM | 9:00 PM | Good until about 5, busier through the evening |
| Friday | 9:00 AM | 9:00 PM | Fills from around 4 PM — call ahead for the evening |
| Saturday | 9:00 AM | 9:00 PM | Busiest day, open to close. Book if you can |
| Sunday | 9:30 AM | 9:00 PM | Late start, calm day, easy walk-in most of it |
Same hours year-round. Every session has to finish by 9 PM, so a 90 or 120 minute booking needs to start earlier in the evening — call (612) 600-9298 and we'll find the slot.
— The shape of a week
When you can just turn up, and when to call first.
Walking in works most of the time. "Most" is doing real work in that sentence, and the pattern is predictable enough to plan around.
Weekday mornings are the softest part of the week. Between 9 and roughly 11:30, Monday through Thursday, you can usually come in off the street and be on a table within ten minutes. Mid-afternoon, call it 1:30 to 4, is nearly as good.
The tight spots are Friday evening and all of Saturday. From about four on a Friday the schedule fills the way a restaurant fills — one party at a time, then suddenly the whole board. Saturday runs busy open to close. You can still usually get in; you might be waiting twenty minutes, or taking a 30 when you wanted 60. A one-minute call before you leave the house settles it.
| When | Realistic odds | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Mon–Thu, 9–11:30 AM | Very good | Just come in. |
| Any day, 1:30–4 PM | Good | Come in. Call only if you want a specific length or therapist. |
| Mon–Thu, after 5 PM | Usually fine | A one-minute call saves you a wait. |
| Friday, after 4 PM | Tight | Call first. |
| Saturday, open to close | Tightest of the week | Book ahead if at all possible. |
| Sunday | Good | Note the 9:30 AM start — we open half an hour later. |
| Couples room · four hands · 120 min | Not a walk-in | Book online or call ahead. |
Patterns, not promises — the real answer changes hour by hour, faster than a published schedule can keep up. One call to (612) 600-9298 beats any table on any website.
— Tuesday at ten, Thursday at seven
One door, two entirely different visits.
A Tuesday at 10 AM goes like this. You park, you walk in, and the desk asks one question — how long have you got. Ten minutes later you're on a table, with your pick of length and your pick of pressure. If you want the 90 you can have the 90.
A Thursday at 7 PM is a different animal. There's a room turning over rather than a room sitting idle, so the desk asks how long you have and tells you what fits — some evenings the 60 you came for, some evenings a 30 on the neck and shoulders. Both are real answers, and neither is you driving home again.
Mornings buy you choice; evenings buy you a session. Come straight from wherever you were — scrubs, work boots, a suit, gym clothes.
Three bookings never work as a walk-in, at any hour. The couples room is a single room needing two therapists free at the same moment — a far rarer event than one therapist free. A four hands session needs those same two on one table. A 120 minute session needs a two-hour hole in the day rather than an hour-shaped one. All three want booking ahead.
For desk shoulders and stood-up-all-day legs, the 60 minute oil massage at $80 is the workhorse — Swedish or deep tissue, same price, decided on the table. If it's your feet, reflexology keeps you clothed in a recliner. The full menu and every price is published if you'd rather decide before you arrive.
- No intake call, no membership sign-up, no consultation before the appointment.
- Thirty minutes is a real option if that's all the evening has left in it.
- The desk's first question is how much time you have. Answer that and the rest is quick.
— Last start of the night
It's seven o'clock and everywhere else closed at five.
This is far and away the most common way people find us. Something went sideways — a long drive, a brutal week, a shoulder quietly getting worse since Tuesday — and by the time you think about doing anything about it, every search result is a wall of the word closed. We're open until 9 PM.
The arithmetic at that end of the day is simple, because every session has to finish by 9. A 90 wants to start by 7:30. A 60 wants to start by 8 at the absolute latest. A 30 can start as late as 8:30. If it's already 8:15 and you're ten minutes down Highway 41, call anyway — half an hour on the neck and shoulders is often the right size for that hour of the night.
Evenings are also, honestly, when the place is at its best: the centre quiet, the lot half empty, none of the lunch-hour churn.
— The lot, not the ramp
Park at the door, in Chaska Commons.
We're at 150 Pioneer Trail, Chaska, MN 55318, in the Chaska Commons retail centre on the corner of MN Highway 41 — Hazeltine Boulevard — and Pioneer Trail. Next door to Caribou Coffee, between Cub Foods and Target. If you have ever bought a bag of softener salt in this town, you have already parked outside our window.
Parking is a free surface lot directly in front of the door — no ramp, no meter, no app, accessible spaces by the entrance. That matters more for a walk-in than for an appointment: the ten minutes a ramp costs you at 8:20 on a weeknight is the ten minutes that turns a 60 into a 30.
If you navigate by landmarks rather than street numbers, road distances to our door:
- Hazeltine National Golf Club — 0.9 mi north on Hwy 41
- Chaska High School — 1.1 mi
- Chaska Town Course — 2.0 mi
- Chaska Community Center — 2.2 mi
- Chaska Curling Center — 3.1 mi
- Minnesota Landscape Arboretum — 3.4 mi
- Canterbury Park — 7.9 mi
- Valleyfair — 8.3 mi
— Before you set off in February
One phone call, and you know.
The Twin Cities average 54.0 inches of snow in a normal season, and the first inch usually lands around November 18 — so for four months of the year the drive is the variable, not our schedule. We stay open. Whether you ought to be on Hwy 41 at 8 PM in a whiteout is a separate question, and the desk will answer it straight, including a plain "not tonight". Moving a visit to tomorrow costs nothing.
Three ways to check, all quick. Online booking shows live availability — if a slot is there it exists, and you can take one for twenty minutes from now as easily as next Thursday. (612) 600-9298 rings the front desk and takes a text on the same number. Or simply appear: 150 Pioneer Trail, Chaska, MN 55318, Open daily · Mon–Sat 9 AM–9 PM · Sun 9:30 AM–9 PM.
Coming in blind, open with how much time you have and what hurts. "I've got forty-five minutes and it's my neck" gets you onto a table faster than any conversation about the menu, and every service, length and price is published anyway. Driving from further out? Carver County drive times are on the county page.
Two more tabs worth having open: cupping runs on its own clock here, and what actually happens at your first massage.

The two easiest things to walk in for
Oil Massage — Swedish & Deep Tissue
The studio's core table massage. Warm oil, your choice of pressure — flowing Swedish strokes to unwind, or slower deep-tissue work into the knots.
- Oil Massage (Swedish or Deep Tissue) 30 min $55
- Oil Massage (Swedish or Deep Tissue) 1 hr $80
- Oil Massage (Swedish or Deep Tissue) 90 min $120
- Oil Massage (Swedish or Deep Tissue) 2 hr $160
Reflexology Foot Massage
Targeted pressure through the feet, in a recliner rather than on a table. Shoes and socks off, everything else stays on — the easiest first visit there is.
- Reflexology Foot Massage 30 min $55
- Reflexology Foot Massage 45 min $65
- Reflexology Foot Massage 1 hr $80
These two need nothing but a free therapist, which is why they're the realistic walk-in options at almost any hour. Prenatal, futon (Thai), combo, cupping, couples and four hands are all on the full services page — the couples room and four hands should always be booked ahead, because both need two therapists free at the same moment. Gratuity is not included in any listed price.

Questions we get
most often.
Still unsure? Call (612) 600-9298 — someone at the front desk will actually pick up.
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?
Both work. Day Massage takes walk-ins whenever a therapist is free, which is a large part of why people come to us instead of an appointment-only chain. That said, evenings and weekends do fill up — if you want a specific time, a specific length, or the couples room, book ahead online or call (612) 600-9298.
What are your hours?
We're open every day: Monday through Saturday 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and Sunday 9:30 AM to 9:00 PM. The last appointment starts early enough to finish by close, so if you're booking a 90 or 120 minute session late in the evening, call and we'll find the right slot.
What's the latest I can start a 90 minute session?
Around 7:30 PM, because every session has to finish by our 9 PM close. A 60 minute session wants to start by 8 at the latest, and a 30 minute session can start as late as 8:30. If you're cutting it fine, call ahead and we'll hold the slot rather than have you arrive to bad news.
Can I walk in for a couples massage or a four hands session?
Please don't count on it. Both need two therapists free at the same moment, and the couples room is a single room — so unlike a standard massage, availability isn't just about whether somebody is free. Call or text (612) 600-9298, or book online. Same goes for a 120 minute session, which needs a two-hour hole in the day.
I've only got a 30 minute lunch break. Is that enough?
Yes, if you pick the right thing. A 30 minute session on the neck and shoulders, or 30 minutes of reflexology in the recliner, both fit a lunch hour comfortably once you account for parking at the door rather than three blocks away. Weekday mid-day is also one of the easier windows to walk into.
Where do I park?
We're at 150 Pioneer Trail, Chaska, MN 55318, in the Chaska Commons retail centre. It's a surface lot directly in front of the door — no ramp, no meters, no street parking hunt, and accessible spaces right by the entrance.
How do I book an appointment?
Three ways: book online through our scheduling page, call (612) 600-9298, or walk in. Online booking shows live availability, so it's the fastest way to see what's open tonight.
What if I need to cancel or I'm running late?
Call (612) 600-9298 as soon as you know. If you're late we'll do whatever we can, but a session that starts late usually has to end on time so we don't push into the next guest's appointment.
— Background reading
Massage is one of the oldest forms of self-care, and what we do is squarely on the relaxation side of it. We make no medical claims — for neutral, non-promotional background, read the NCCIH on massage therapy , what the science actually says , relaxation techniques and the AMTA on massage and wellness .
Those are general educational references about the practice, not statements about any particular session here.
Day Massage is a relaxation and wellness studio, not a medical provider. Nothing here is medical advice — if something hurts in a way that worries you, see a clinician.
